Concrete Integrity: What We Do

This is just one of a wide range of solutions offered by our skilled and experienced team.

Epoxy Crack Injection

Concrete Integrity uses Unifor Crack Injection system, which offers both high-viscosity epoxy resin, for larger cracks, and low-viscosity epoxy resin for finer cracks.

It can be used for structural as well as non-structural cracks, and is ideal for heavy traffic or stress areas such as buildings, bridges, tunnels, roads, and harbour facilities.

Hydrophilic Resins

Hydrophilic Polyurethane is ideal for crack filling and leak prevention. It actively seeks out moisture, absorbs up to 16 times it’s weight in fluids, expanding into tight cracks, and creating a strong and durable seal. It retains a degree of flexibility making it ideal where movement or expansion and contraction might be expected (as is the case in most crack repairs).

Hydrophobic Resins

Commonly referred to as “Single Shot Urethane” Grouts, these products are two-pot mix resins which are unaffected by moisture. They can expand up to 10 times their size, making them ideal for tight spaces, and they set to form an impermeable barrier, which is strong, inflexible, and long lasting. Typically they’re used in seawalls, manholes, filling voids, or soil stabilization. They’re impermeable to fluids so unaffected by changing moisture or water tables.

Epoxy Resins

Sometimes a leak calls for a chemically induced filler, or “Two-Pot Mix”. These set irrespective of the environment in which we are working, and generally form very rigid plugs.

Other Key Services

Here’s the six most common reasons for contacting Concrete Integrity

CANCER2
cancersm
Concrete Cancer

Concrete Cancer is caused when the steel reinforcing within the concrete slab starts to rust. As the steel rusts it expands, displacing the concrete around it, causing it to become brittle and crack, thus accelerating the aging process. Signs of concrete cancer include crazing and cracking concrete (spalling).

FACADE2
Facade Repairs

All building facades require repair & maintenance at some point in their life, from simple caulking and seismic cracks, through to extensive repairs due to concrete cancer.

We work with all types of surfaces and finishes, from bespoke masonry & historic facades through to the modern textures and finishes.

EPOXY2
Leak Repairs

Polyurethane grouts provide solutions to problem situations, especially when major inflows are present or when long term performance is required.

Although polyurethane grouts have been extensively used worldwide for almost four decades, some large grouting firms have still not caught on to this trend.

TUNNEL2
Soil Stabilisation

Permeation grouting is used to create watertight barriers, to stabilise or to strengthen the ground by filling the voids within a soil or rock mass at low pressure, and without displacing the soil particles or widening the fissures of the rock.

This requires a fine balance in pressure, as too much may cause damage to the surrounding strata, and not enough may result in an incomplete and ineffective job.

Extreme/Emergency Repairs

While the majority of our work involves routine repairs on gradually worsening leaks or cracks, occasionally we’re called in to deal with catastrophic failures. These are usually the result of pressure building behind a weak spot, and require us working in less than ideal conditions, having to fight pressure and volume of fluids to stem flows with tools adapted for the job.

Such repairs are often on a grand scale.
